Chidinma Amakari - Sophmore
This expressive, intelligent, and independent 15 year old with a radiant smile is devoted to keeping up her grades in school. She likes math and reading good books and has a passion for running. She finished a great season of cross country.
This summer Chiddy, who lives with her 3 younger siblings in New Jersey, visited her family and relatives in her native country Nigeria. Reuniting with her family, and then leaving them, always has an emotional impact on Chiddy.
As a future goal, Chiddy sees herself going to medical school. Currently she is doing volunteer work at Book Aide and Person to Person. TheConcannons and the O’Briens are providing Chiddy on the designated host family weekends with a home away from home. | ||||
