Melinda Siew - Junior
Melinda applies herself extremely well to the academic demands of her DHS curriculum, including several AP and honors classes, and this summer she didn’t skip a beat. She went to a summer leadership Program called “Lead America” at Pace University in Manhattan, where she learned about global business and entrepeneurship. The program was highly informative and educational as well as fun and exciting. “I was able to meet new friends from all over the United States, she said. Shetraveled with her family to Cyprus and Egypt and ended the summer by attending a prep school for “the big SAT’s” that are coming up.
This year she devotes her extracurricular time again to the Math Team Meet which competes once a month with area high schools and in which she tutors other students with math problems. She also volunteers her time at Person to Person. | ||||
