Tasha Valentin - Sophmore
This summer meant a serious transition for Tasha. She helped her mom pack for her new home in Massachusetts while her dad stayed in the Bronx. “It was tough watching them store all our memories away and saying good bye to the only home I knew since I was three” Tasha said. Moving between 3 three different states is not going to be easy, but Tasha will learn to manage and make the best out of living in Darien. She and her dad went on a two week vacation to Puerto Rico where she relaxed at the beach and visited their relatives.
While keeping up with her studies, with English and Spanish as her favorite subjects, Tasha is involved in extracurricular activities like Bookaid, and Person to Person. In her free time Tasha loves to talk on the phone with her friends and family. She also loves to sing and is up for taking a nap to catch up on some needed sleep. She also enjoys hanging out one weekend a month at the homes of her two host families in Darien, The Kindy’s and the Eenkema van Dijks. | ||||||
